Volunteer in Jaipur

With our International volunteers, we are working on several volunteer programs in rural & urban areas of Jaipur. All the programs are located within a range of 15 kms from outskirts of Jaipur city.

Safety

We commitment to safety and well-being of every leader and participant take top priority in the planning and operation of each program. Because hundreds of young adults from around the world participate in our volunteering programs and travel combined volunteer programs each year, we have extensive experience in our response to handle incidents and emergencies. Please assure that we will not conduct a program that we believe will jeopardize the safety of any person.

Arrival and Transfer

Our personal driver, working with the Sankalp Team, will be awaiting your arrival at the New Delhi Airport. You will find him in the arrival hall, past immigration/customs/baggage claim, with a placard displaying your name. In the rare circumstance that you do not see him, please call and wait at airport until he arrives; he will be prepared to look for you.

Accommodation

We offer comfortable accommodation in our volunteer house here in Jaipur. The volunteer house is inside the organization’s own building and set up. It is residential and well-arranged with some modern and traditional equipment. The volunteer home is an independent multistory building and it is in Bank Colony, which is in northern part of Jaipur. You can reach the center of Jaipur in 30 minutes by Auto Rickshaw by paying 150 - 200 Rupees only. The volunteer house has 8 sharing bedrooms with bunk beds and each room has an attached washroom. All washrooms contain a shower and western style toilets. There are several recreation and dining halls on each floor, along with an open roof-top terrace for volunteers to enjoy overlooking our neighborhood! There is a kitchen facility for volunteers in the house to prepare their own breakfast. Essential shared utensils and kitchen equipment such as a refrigerator, toaster, and tea kettle are provided for shared use. Our house cook prepares and serves quality Indian food to the volunteers for both lunch and dinner. We also have UV treated & ozonated water provided in the home, which is completely clean & safe for all international travelers! During summer season (April – October) the rooms are cooled up by Air Conditioner on fix timings 23:00 to 06:00 hours and in winters; hot shower is available (November to March).

Meals

Breakfast, you prepare yourself in home, Tea-coffee, bananas is provided. Lunch & Dinner will be provided at home. The cook serves quality Indian food to the volunteers in the volunteers’ house itself.

Daily transport to project

Transport by rickshaw will be provided from volunteer’s house to projects

Other Facilities

Wi-Fi - 24x7 Internet access is provided within the volunteer house. Entertainment - TV, DVDs, along with a collection of both Hindi and English movies are available for your enjoyment within the volunteer house. Medical Emergency - Sankalp team members are available 24/7 for any kind of medical emergencies. We have great connections with local doctors and hospitals and are well-prepared to help you with any medical issues that may arise.
